The Downtown Niagara Falls business area hosts many events throughout the year from City Hall functions to the Annual Santa Claus Parade.

In November 2007 the Downtown Board of Management created Celebrate Old Downtown Community Corp., a community organization for to develop and foster community spirit, promote events, festivals and other social, cultural and recreational events and to promote public interest in the history of downtown Niagara Falls.
